The Center for Desert Archaeology's Heritage Circle is a special group of like-minded people who, through their significant multi-year financial support, are committed to helping the Center for Desert Archaeology better understand, protect, and preserve the archaeological heritage of the American Southwest and Mexican Northwest.
Heritage Circle funds support the Center in its ongoing effects to build a preservation archaeology network across the Greater Southwest through its Heritage Southwest program. Begun in 1999, Heritage Southwest is a comprehensive, multi-faceted program to:
promote creative new archaeological research directions, |
increase public awareness of and involvement in archaeology, and |
significantly expand archaeological preservation. |
Heritage Circle membership is extended to anyone who pledges a minimum $1,000 annual contribution for five years. The multi-year commitment of Heritage Circle members provides critical financial security for the continued growth of Heritage Southwest projects.
In addition to regular Center membership benefits like the subscription to Archaeology Southwest, invitations to special lectures and events, and the opportunity to volunteer, special Heritage Circle benefits include:
an invitation to an special, exclusive annual event with the Center's President and other well-respected archaeologists |
special recognition in the Annual Report and on the Center's website |
