Site Summary: Butler Wash Ruins are cliff dwellings that were built and occupied by the Ancestral Puebloans about AD 1200. The site has been stabilized and reconstructed to some degree, but most of it remains as it was found in the 1800s.

Getting There: The trailhead to the Butler Wash and Ballroom Cave Ruins is located on Utah Highway 95.  From Blanding, Utah, travel south on Highway 191 for 3 miles to the junction of Highway 191 and Highway 95.  Travel west 11 1/2 miles on Highway 95 to mile marker 111.2 and the signed parking lot and trailhead for Butler Wash Indian Ruins.
